Last one I went to (many years ago) someone actually died in the pike-press, poor chap had a heart attack.
English Civil War battles, all the members I see usually seem to have a battered pewter tankard dangling from their belt, on way to pub, or hand, any time after reaching pub but before collapse.
Can't sleep...

Yep, that's us although the pewter tankards from belts are being phased out as non authentic.
But we're moving away from the orignal thread... are you now recovered Chantal? Have you thought up some evil plan in case you have the same problem this weekend??

Thanks Zena, yes I'm just about over it but simply cannot sleep beyond 4am no matter how late I go to bed.
I'm getting used to much less sleep and am less like a zombie now so it's not so bad. I get lots done too eg I made 6lb of blackberry jam before work yesterday.
As for revenge, I don't want to annoy them too much as I will shortly have a cockerel crowing his socks off and I don't want them to get their own back by complaining about him. Most of my other neighbours were used to Alex (late cockerel) but these are new guys.

Dig up garlic chives as in the way of squash planting.
Decide they taste good and as it is so dry that they will not replant place them in a bucket with six inches of water in it.
A couple of days later decide bucket is in the way so move it somewhere out of the way.
Three months later wonder, "what is that dreadfull smell, has something died in that corner".
When smell persists rediscover bucket with mostly liqued and foetid contents.
Distribute contents according to need.
Mine went in the teenagers hangout in the bushes on top of their pile of newspapers and broken bottles etc. Which our council will not remove. They ring the publisher to remove that which their delivery agents dump.
