The first few I ate were tip top - sweet and firm.
Now, they are sweet but a bit soft. I haven't grown them before. Is the lack of firmness a sign that they are over / under ripe?

Grown in large pots under cover and watered with drip system, and, re the points made above, I don't think they've been overwatered.

As an initial comment, I would have said that the softness would seem to indicate them being over ripe.

Thanks Mike - as I feared. The colour fooled me.... Still at least they will be ok for cooking.
