Grape Raider(s)

Can't identify that mould? Got a great tip for keeping slugs at bay? Suggestions for organic weed control? Post them here...

I had quite a surprise last evening when arriving at the plot.

Three Magpies had gained entry to my greenhouse via the automatic window vents and attacked my grapes. The grapes are small and very green....I hope the little blighters get the bird equivalent to stomach ache

I will now have to find a way to fasten some netting at the window openings so that it doesn't get involved with the automatic vent system

If you nip down to Aldi, you'll find mesh nets at a bargain price which you can use this year whilst you think about your long term plans.......

Try looking at it in another light - they've thinned your grapes for you!

Thanks Tiggs...I will check it out...I did think about pinning some old net curtaining across the roof this would hopefully deter the perishing raiders and also double up as shading for the plants below

:D It did cross my mind Jenny....no repeat last night thank goodness.
