Dear Westi, so sorry to read Mr, had a tumble…I hope he is quickly on the mend!

If the weather stays like it is at the moment, any plants will put on little growth anyway…..the wind has a real bite to it today, and the soil has lost any warmth it had.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

I'm also sorry to read of your husband's injury and your bad back Westie. We do so depend on keeping in good health as we grow older. I have been laid up with yet another gum infection but am now on more antibiotics so I hope to feel better soon. Did a little bench grafting apple scions this morning before again seeing the Dentist; need root canal and a crown to keep tooth and the other one will just have to come out. It is going to cost £1000 + now my dentist is no longer with the NHS. Just want to feel better and forget about my gum disease and spend time in the garden.

Plum blossom is looking stunning in the small orchard with white daffodils around the trunks and blackthorm blossom in the hedges behind. Hope to get some sheep in after the daffodils die down as the grass is getting too long.
Very windy here to-day but lovely bright sunshine all day.

Barney
