I know I'm a bit over excited but the weather report has not been changed for days so Saturday remains sunny......all day! I won't stay down all day though as it would mean a longer absence until I could go next time as my back wouldn't like it, but I am going down earlier as the light is fine now & it should be quiet first thing to get cracking on. In order to make a bigger impact I am not going to collect up all the weeds & lug them down to the compost area but just pile them up & move them later. That will give me time to sort & prep a lot more beds ready; well that's the plan anyway!

Yes, we have some cold temps showing but at least it gives sunshine.

...and then 3 hours of light snow for Sunday morning.....turning to sleet and then rain.........

Pouring down tonight, after 10mm yesterday.

We are helping my brother move house tomorrow. Can't quite believe the forecast! The only sunny day in what seems like days of forever rain.

Heavy rain again here, so although tomorrow looks lovely and bright, it’s far too wet to be able to do anything.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

Been having worries regarding the weather at every news bulletin which since lunch time has been an ice warning, even though the sun is out. But the local news was just on & yep there will be ice but just that bit further north now so hopefully I will be completely excluded. Pleased the site did a fill in of holes last week as well as that's more water out of the way & I've got the lawn edges to walk on as well. At least no added rain!

-1.5C heading in to work... 3C upon heading home this afternoon.

With glorious sunshine most of the day :)

Growingly warm in the big front greenhouse and for good measure the church bells ringing out lovely

Can't take away what we've had...but it looks a cold one, with a feels like -4C at 9am and 10am, tomorrow in sleet...

It was a brilliant day! All the weather warnings & even temp was wrong. Was just perfect, 7C outside, no rain, sunny & warm enough to get a fleece off!
The last strawberries sorted & the last weeds grubbed out under the fencing without injury & the other beds cleared that side. Just got to feed the beds for the next inhabitants that's the left side completed, although a little weeding needed outside the front. The other side of the plot is part cleared & won't take long to sort when next down as it only needs the raspberries & strawberries at the back done & the compost area hoed. I've harvested nearly everything left from winter & planted out my garlic, onions & garlic, but I'm going to do some more as did a bodge with my order & got double everything & everyone has bought theirs & don't want.

It felt really good looking back when I left I'll tell you! Next jobs are much more fun...planting, sowing & growing!

I opened the curtains this morning and large white flakes were coming down...reverted to sleet with occasional return to white flakes.

2.2C showing on the weather station but feeling much colder in the sharp breeze...

Seems that Sunshine is only available on Saturdays at the moment.??

However...there are partly sunny symbols within the forecast for next 4 days ;)

Mother Nature remains in a good mood so I've got another day of warmer weather tomorrow. Just going to clear a few beds in prep for their debut performance next month or so & sort the staging out for some stuff to get started in pots in the tunnel. Day/night on the thermometer is holding well so I think it could be fine with back up fleece if needed as no frosts in the mix.

I've been mucking around with my planting plan since I've had more flooded beds so swapped a few beds around to prioritise the things I really want to successfully grow as I like them. Also getting quite distracted by what people are sowing already online, especially looking at their locations when on their profile. It wasn't so obvious before with separate closed groups but now everything goes on the main FB feed. KG posts a little highlight type notice daily which is nice to see, but I'm bit disappointed so few acknowledge their posts. I think they could sweep up more readers & mag buyers though it they could find the time to add a little proviso of area's. Just simple north/south guides more simply explained than the seed packets! ;)
