Hi all, I’m London White, a farmer based in Birmingham, and I’ve been growing tomatoes for several years now. I usually start my seeds indoors in late February using light seed compost and plenty of warmth and light to avoid leggy seedlings. Once they’re strong enough, I pot them on, harden them off slowly, and plant out after the last frost, usually mid-May. I’ve found that planting them a bit deeper, keeping watering consistent, and feeding regularly once they start flowering makes a big difference to both plant health and yield.
