Mole trap.

My allotment has suddenly become a play ground for moles!!!What is the best trap for catching them,

I always use scissor traps but, I think others prefer tunnel traps, especially if the ground is loose.

Your way will be quicker but when I had problems with them a guy on the plot told me to follow their run & at each fresh mound you find place a cane in it. This bit I'm not sure of but he said they don't tend to turn back & if you keep following their route they will exit your area. It did work & they have not come back. It was fine for me being at the back as they exited into the farmers field, not sure other plot holders would like this though as the next plot would get the invasion.

Thank youOH and Westi for your advice.I may well try your cane trick,Westi,and if it doesn't work then scissor traps may weell do the job.

I'd vote for scissor traps. Every so often we get problems in our vallley. A few days with set traps seems to clear them for a while. It seems if I catch 4 or so then they disappear.
The beatings will continue until morale improves.
