Hi Geoff! Are they being viewed on another forum set up from KG's main site or the like? We know KG gets lots of members from the growing community doing reviews & sharing their plots as they appear in their mag. I actually had a little mooch on the mag's main site & could see nothing but thinking about it KG has got a big FB site. This would be explain the multiple views & the posts appearing? I can post a reply or like things posted on FB but only in response to the posts put on there via KG's own odd posts, not to start a new post. I'll have a mooch around when I go on FB to see if it comes up.

Surprisingly it was not too cold on the plot even though it was saying it should be 1C but tunnel was 17C max & 5C min & the plants on the staging are responding well & looking good. Wish the toms in the propagator were happier but they have just stalled, look healthy but doing no growing.

Today I finally got around to weeding under the last trees & Strulched them keep the weeds at bay for a bit & as down that end scrapped all the moss & stuff off the membrane paths so they look nice, although I like that moss it was taking over. Then I finished topping up the to be squash/pumpkin beds & covered with plastic. They are truly going to enjoy it I think as I got a bit carried away & gave them a few extra barrow loads, after removing all the collections of mice/rat nest material! Then I striped the covers off where the leeks will go to give them a bit of compost as well & a dig in so nice & loose for when they are ready to be planted. Just got to sort a way to keep those pesky moths to of the mix!

Bit of a long old weekend.... ;)

Knocked down some ground that I had dug up recently...took some breaking down, should have got on it earlier, but in went a double row of Bunyards Exhibition...

Then, absent of distraction....I actually got the rectangle by the house back door deeply forked and cleansed so that enabled me to plant the Aster ericoides Blue Wonder, Iris sibirica Paprikash and the sweet box that I had got in stock....but hadn't quite got round to getting dealt with...

It's welcome back then everyone! Glad to see no obvious changes made to the forum!

Plodding on with the chores & making progress, all outside & inside flower beds edged, weeded & dead roses replaced. Going down tomorrow as we have another wee warmer spell, barmy 12C max & 6C min, but fully focusing on the tunnel as the seeds sown in there on the staging are up & looking perky. The pampered ones in the propagator are finally looking a bit happier as well. I had the light too high apparently which was forcing them to stretch which was noted by my plot neighbour who popped in home to say hi! My fault as I raised it as the cat was laying under it on the lid so thought I'd remove the warm temptation & didn't lower it again. I don't know if co-incidence or not but some toms are already getting their baby true leaves.

Roof going on the build in a week as they will be finished their other job in the next road. They are just sharing the teams while both builds are so close & apparently another house in that road is also getting an extension soon.

Well I felt like I was doing lots but only one side of the tunnel completed today & the path & some sows. I could have made it easier on myself as I spent quite a bit of time putting stuff in the shed that strangely ended up in the tunnel, but you can only get so wet or cold this time of year! It will bite me when it comes to clearing the shed but my process with the shed is everything goes out & only things I used during the last year goes back in, well unless tools.

My bonus today was a rouge broad bean that thinks Jack wants to climb it! All planted at the same time but this guy seems to be just enjoying growing. The thing is a dud though, it flowers but no wee pods follow. Apparently even though self pollinating they do need the odd wandering visitor to up the stakes for success. Actually it might be a bright plant aiming high as the vents have started opening on & off & more insects are enjoying this burst of warmth & out & about.

...and on the away home it was..metallic bang and bottom spiral from a back suspension coil on Skoda had gone ping...

..and before heading home a piece of tooth fell of a filling..so having a bit of dropping to bits sort of day...

Must be the day for broken springs. We have been having problems with our borehole getting clogged with excess iron deposits and have had to have a 24 hour cleaning cycle and the man who did it broke a spring on his van coming here on one of many potholes. First noticed problem as electricity consumption was rising so looked for leaks. Turned out initially to be jammed non-return valve so water was going back down the riser pipe. Then found lots of other blockages like this pipe supplying the pressure vessel. Cleaning process has doubled the pump output and with everything else cleaned hopefully will have something serviceable for a few more years, not done anything other than servicing the treatment system in 28 years.
