Proper stormy and wet, most roads are flooded, so as we live on the top of a hill we will stay put, but not a day for gardening, glad I cut the grass when I did.
Been gardening for over 65 years and still learning.

Best year for roses so far. Bit puzzled though. Unable to find any greenfly.

When ever I say something like that Shallot Man, things go horribly wrong!
Hope you are keeping well!

My roses are also very happy & ...maybe the little blighters drowned with all the rain??
Been an interesting year to date with what crops benefitted from swimming & what didn't. Soft fruit loved it & I have an overload; I'm not getting too excited as expect they will need a rest next year whatever the conditions thrown at them. Still waiting for carrots & parsnips to show outside despite multiple sows, but fortunately got some backups in the tunnel. Lost most of my plums from windburn as although both varieties flower at different times both shows coincided with gales. Well who really knows what next year will bring?

I think all the rain has supersized the oak tree leaves this year, have you seen the size of them? Massive!
