Try - a broken arm? Turned to look at a swallow singing - we have a nest and little ones in the barn - and carried on meandering, feet tripped over something and down I went. Five hours later I came out of casualty in a plaster - fortunately on left forearm. I've learned to do many things single handed, including planting, and watering this hot weather. My daughter commented that I'd been there before doing things singlehandedly - squawking baby on other arm - but that was many years ago and one forgets the knack of it. Anyway, I'm off work temporarily and not ill, so I'm viewing it as more time to do things and continuing to stop and stare!

There's half of me wants to say 'commiseeration' and the other half is envious - except that I don't like pain. :?

Sorry for your misfortune Jane. I know what it's like being one handed. I couldn't move my right arm for a few months and i am right handed.

It's murder trying to pull your smalls up and fastening jeans one handed

That really is bad luck, Jane. I hope you manage to get plenty of help with all the two-handed jobs.
Best,
