Farewell, good friends .....
Moderators: KG Steve, Chantal, Tigger, peter, Chief Spud
Well, the time has come to say farewell. I am now on the priority waiting list for our local hospice, the Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice in Oakworth (of 'Railway Children' fame) and will like be there in two to three days' time. Many thanks for your friendship, practical help, compassion and all that goes with it .......

Been gardening for over 65 years and still learning.

Dear Monika, you have been such a wonderful forum member, sharing stories from your childhood, right through to the present day.
These have always been so interesting to read, some moving, some funny, some helpful, some supportive, but most of all, everyone was so nicely written with total respect for the reader, and we can never thank you enough for that.
I personally am going to miss you hugely….but you will always be in my happiest memories, Monika…..xx

I'm not good at this sort of thing as you know. I'll miss all your lovely posts and being able to compare notes with an almost local. You have a wonderful family that comes through in your posts, I'm sure you'll be greatly missed.

Dear Monika,
I am sorry to hear about the progress of your disease but so pleased to hear your final journey will be in the hands of the hospice staff who will control your symptoms, give you respect & good care & support your family. You will be sorely missed on the forum & I personally thank you for your patience & growing advice over the years. XX

What a shame our dear Monika hasn’t managed to get back on the forum, so she could have seen just what she meant to us all….hopefully she would have already known this.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.
