JUST beat you then! I picked my first two on Sunday 18th !..... But I had to take them over to my new friends Des and Doreen as 'proof'. I'd told Des about having ripe toms at a party the night before, and he wouldn't believe me without the proof. His face was a picture when he saw them... AND he eat them BOTH, big meanie....!

they are usually larger than a cherry tomato but not as big as the standard shop ones. This year I will treat some of them as indeterminates and see the difference. If I can get bigger ones of the best tasting tomatoes, then I'll go for it

Try a new indeterminate cherry called Chelsea, it was the last variety I planted, has already passed most of the other plantings and if the catalogue is anything to go for it should be very good. Lots of other modern tomatoes if you browse around.
