I am using my new potatoes at last and plan to sow carrots in the the same pots after sifting the soil the potatoes had grown in. Is this O.K.? I have never got my head around crop rotation
I have happily reused growbag material that spuds have been grown in, but have added some general purpose fertiliser, and in the case of carrots, tend to mix in a bit of sharp sand as well. Give it all a good stir, and away you go.

The potatoes were growing in home made compost from my compost bin Sprout. I've sieved it and will add some grit like you suggest Ian. I have never been able to grow carrots but I won't give up trying !
