Overwintering onions

Chantal and johnboy: I make seed tapes up to three weeks before going to plant them out - that probably counts as pdq :wink:

Geoff: Don't see why not if it works with maincrop onions, they still grow to the same dimensions. I used three seeds per station last time, so will try again also with 3 to a 1" module and planting about 9 inches apart - similar idea? Comments welcome :roll:

I lost all my senshyu onions this tear but will try again. Wil sow into 9cm pots, 4 to a pot. I have potted on a lot of crops into 9cm pots this year, then using a bulb planter to make the hole and drop the crops straight in, a perfect fit.
