Finding that my favourite Izal toilet paper is no longer available locally on a roll and we have twin fittings in our toilets for choice of "soft" or "hard" I did a Google and came up with
www.loorolls.com
Surely the home for the loo roll enthusiast, They even have paper rolls with no core.

i guess we learn something everyday, i thought that hard izal toilet paper was flushed into history when the soft absorbent stuff became widely available. certainly im surprised that anyone is using it by choice.

There is nothing like a good hard rub. I detest the soft stuff, it has a habit of breaking up and soiling my fingers. With our twin fitted roll holders we give all comers the option.
I wounder if anyone else enjoyed the pre-WWII rolls with skits on Nursery rhymes printed on the sheets. I loved unrolling that to read all the different versions. Memories of having to wind it back onto the roll before one was found out. Surely a collectors item if any survived this long.

Is that the stuff that's like tracing paper?
My grandparents (both dead) used that-I used to steal Mums tissues to use instead!
They didn't die because they used it
Herby I know what your saying!
I prefer my charmin-mind you there's a girl at school with that name and it always makes me snigger-sad I know

"Happiness is the sense that one matters"
seems its in our local tesco
i can remember in student union days complaining about the stuff to the college, the reason for using it was when they supplied the soft stuff consumption doubled, which we thought showed just how many students were buying their own cos we hated the hard stuff

What about starting a thread on whether or not kitchen gardeners are more regular because they eat lots of veg??

If I am not on the plot, I am not happy.........
Thanks for the tip, I'll have a look in Tesco.
Compo, if you saw the very smart twin roll holders in both our loos you would better understand why I am put out by the thought that I may have to fiddle about with folded sheets from a box.I can get a bulk pack of rolls by ordering online from a medical supply company, by buying in bulk the price is reasonable.

Thanks for the hint about Tesco's. I have stocked up from there, no problem.
Following the derogatory remarks I tried the soft stuff again. In a phrase it's not for me, I have to use far more of that. All I want is to be given the choice and I certainly don't want it in a box.

When I saw the link on the list in General Chatter, I thought this was going to be another heated discussion about keeping whitefly off your carrots!
