I bet you're all out doing stuff aren't you?
I was supposed to have had all afternoon on my plot as Jim and Addie were going off to spend the day and night at the climbing club hut in Llanberis, but the bloody car got sick and had to go into hospital for the day. So, I've had grumpy old man and bored child hanging about and by the time the car was fixed and they'd finally gone I couldn't be bothered. Still, I've had a nice restful evening(!) ejecting 4 frogs from the wall fountain ( posh name for common water feature) and doing annual maintenance on the pump - what a bloomin' faff that was.
Just realised, it's Friday, bet you're all glued to Monty Don!!
It's quiet tonight

Good evening Jude, you seem to be having a bit of a rough deal at the moment, what with your shed and your car.
You need Grock and lizzie to hide in your shed, and if they brake in again they will be in for the most awful shock.
How come you got to clean your pump out, i think it's a horrible fiddly job.
Looks like it's going to be nice tomorrow, so i bet we will all be out tending the land, as there is a bit of catching up to do.
Lets hope nothing else goes wrong for you tomorrow.
Kind regards Old Herbaceous.

How noisy would you like me to be Jude? Mind you,if you think I'm going to stick myself to Monty Don for your entertainment you've got another think coming!
The most entertainment I've had tonight is standing by the pond getting bitten by mosquitoes and watching big fat leggie tadpoles coming up to the surface for air...oh what exciting lives we lead!
My commiserations on your shed being violated,I think I've got a man-trap hanging up somewhere.......how much will it cost to post do you think? It's what the toe-rags deserve.

Don't forget if its quiet you could all go to the chat room i set up, I think so far there has only been me in there, I am usually on line between 9.30 and 11.30 ish (late person!!) so far no one has been in there except me (sad) you can get straight in by going to http://groups.msn.com/STRICTLYKITCHENGA ... /chat.msnw

If I am not on the plot, I am not happy.........
Dear kind Oldherbaceous,
I have had to clean out the pump because it was full of frog sh-t. We have up to seven of the little darlings in residence at any one time. Obviously I can't discourage them as they are invaluable in the garden and my daughter likes to stroke them, I think she may be under the illusion that they may turn into handsome princes one day

Seedling and I spent the whole digging a new allotment. I was too tired to even think, let alone type last night. Back up there to have another go very shortly!

Compo - anyone- I know this makes me sound really thick but can you explain what a chat room is?
It took me ages to pluck up courage to go onto the forum as I am a bit of a compter numpty. I read about chat rooms in the papers (as in kids of 12 using them) but haven't a clue what the difference is between that and for example the forum here.
By the way, I really like having a quick browse on the forum when I can. It makes me feel that there are some other folks out there who really like gardening (other than the plug plants, garden centres and decking type - although I do imdulge in those first two also!)I haven't seen anyone on my allotment site this year, my family and friends don't really see the point of growing veggies and if I mention anthing at work expressions begin to glaze over ..... so thank goodness for the forum!
Anyway, I'm off to my plot to try and repair some of the damage done last week with wind and frost.

Hi all
Here I am!!!!!
I was in the front of the house last night decapitating my roses. I've got black spot and i'm not a happy bunny. I cut off all the damaged leaves and buds and gave everything a good watering. Also planted up some pots with some bedding. Bought a tray of 48 petunias from B&Q that should have cost £4 but she only charged me £2. Going back later for some more!!!
Then, I went in and watched Grumpy Old Women, went to bed, read then bo-bos.
Off to the plot again later to plant out beans and peas then off to swing my keks at my cousins wedding.
Fabulous

Hi Haggis, don't despair we're all one big allotment on here,It can get a bit lonely on your own though, when i first started I was on the plot alone but more people have started working their sites in the last couple of years,it's not like growing in the middle of a prairie now!
Compo I still cant get in your chat room.I think you need to esnail the individuals which will mean us giving you our personal emails-and we need names/titles. HTH jo
