.....a small morris man.6 year old son found OH's miss-spent youth in a box and came downstairs wearing a blue tabard,a top hat decorated with ribbons,silk flowers and badges(most of which were not really appropriate for a 6 year old!)and a set of bells on each leg.He then spent the afternoon trying to perfect his skip,skip,skip,hop up and down the garden which had the advantage that we knew where he was for once! We haven't told him about the big sticks they use yet...

a week in Normandy saw us bring back Cateauneuf-du-pape, some premier cru Chablis, some cracking Samur and a collection of very nice Ros'e for Piglette.
We have found a fabulous hardware come kitchen shop in Bayeaux and stocked up on bottle grolsch style closures, plastic corks for cider, kilner style jars (6x1 litre for 8.50 euros) and a cracking steam juicer for 49 euros.
Plant wise, upon visiting my plot I found that the sweetcorn was rampaging away and that I need to earth up my potatoes. I have a busy couple of days ahead of me.

I've been slowly repairing the damage to my garden caused after 26 thirteen year olds dressed as hula girls rampaged throught it at my daughters 'tropical' themed birthday party on Sunday!!!
After a few fruit 'punches'(adults only) I had an ill advised go on the jungle bouncy castle we had hired, and ended up at the local hospital having an ankle x-rayed after a hefty 'child' jumped on it; funny I didn't notice how much it hurt until I woke up the next day!!!

Thats the trouble with bouncy castles Deb, bloody kids keep going on them and getting in the way!!! 
This weekend I planted out all the brassicas, potted on the flowers, tomatos and cucumbers. Also went out with the Old Man and Jnr with dog to the beach.
Other than that, not a lot. Still waiting for the multi millionaire with the heart condition and no living relatives to turn up.

A mini-Morris is,in my view,a lot less trouble than the big version!He doesn't go on the beer yet and no we havn't told him about the pig's bladder or he might get designs on the sheep next door! He did look cute though. His Dad had a 'sigh'moment when he realised that he could no longer get the tabard on,he's grown too.....
There's a hall near us that they do Morris dancing in, it has small doors. I don't know how they get the car in.

No, didn't go to Formby this time although it is a regular haunt of mine. I like to walk along the beach for miles and the dog bounds along in the water, jumping over the waves.
He's a funny dog.
This was further along the coastline from Formby, going towards the Welsh coast. It goes along the boundary of the Hoylake Golf Club ( I think it's that one, not sure though. It's a golf club anyway) where they're having the British Open this year.
Very pleasent it was too cos there were loads of wild roses, sea cabbage ect everywhere. Lovely.

Navelwort (rare apparently?!)
Enormous great crested newts
Grass, dandelions & that stickybud stuff that seems to grow faster than anything...
