Nice one Pawty, hope you enjoyed both your Italian trip and Valentines day.
The danger when people start to believe their own publicity is that they often fall off their own ego.
At least travelling under the guise of the Pa Snip Enterprise gives me an excuse for appearing to be on another planet

Thank you Pawty - Happy Valentines to you too! Better presentation then a few in a cellophane bag for sure!
Got to ask, noting all your travels; how many languages do you speak? Just interested as you do go to some amazing places & would think with your job some translations would be difficult or is it a a common denominator?

Hi,
I am very lucky to travel to some amazing places, but alas, I am rubbish at languages (but give me a rock to identify and I'm there!). Mr Pawty is pretty good and we just about get by. Since we got married, mr Pawty has taken me to a new city every year for our wedding anniversary (it was our 10th this year so Venice seemed appropriate). But we have a huge interest in experiencing new things and places, and a love of scuba diving has taken us all over the world (the ocean is such a magical place)! We haven't decided on travels for this year.... timing is always a challenge with the allotment though!
I love looking around the veg markets - I get so inspired by the variety, colours and freshness - and passion of the stall holders!
Yes - some scapes would look great amongst those chillies - maybe we could have a mixed veg and flower bouquet competition! Rosemary and sweet peas maybe?

No matter where I went I hit the veg markets. (Even before I became a grower). Unfortunately too many critters to go so often now, add the cost of their holiday & it just isn't worth it! I'm like you - pick up a few words, smile loads & rely on others to translate. (Although most like testing their English).
Most of my real travels when younger were tropical places, obviously starting in the Southern hemisphere made this quite easy. I'm sure I tasted things no wise person should but a strong constitution left me unscathed - well pretty much!
