Not by that method,, a bit more old fashioned, i read your prose and did some detective work.
Note how tightly cropped the picture is to the site boundary.

Google Map in satellite mode has amazing detail in many parts of the UK.

Do not put off thanking people when they have helped you, as they may not be there to thank later.

Some good detective work then Lord Wimsey :D

I had noticed the borders of the site, and a elderflower tree which is no longer there

How about this for a view of our home and beyond on an angry day.

How are you supposed to start and maintain a healthy lifestyle if it completely removes a wine lover’s reason to live?

The power supply failed just minutes after, it happens all the time where we live. Its taken a few years to get organised but other than looking round the barn for a torch so we can light up we keep warm and manage. Our internet and phone supply have a 12v battery backup at this end and wind turbine solar panel at the top of the hill.

BT ? Up-yours.

If the power supply gets much more unreliable I have a plan which includes, Western Power ? Up yours also.

If you look at 'My Weather' and click 'About this PWS' you get a view across the garden about this time last year. I've got some across the veg patch somewhere but can't find them at the moment.

You have to be happy with your own company Westi, visitors are always amazed at the views and peace though they often say they couldn't cope with being so isolated. I never had neighbours that were friends or could be relied on to help so it hasn't been difficult for me. Er-indoors still needs a city-fix but mostly is only here at weekends so we have his-and-hers place and she has her place to escape from me. Perfect because we are both happy to see the back of each other occasionally though always look foreword to the coming together.

Other than my close neighbours who live in the old farmhouse this building used to be attached to there isn't any housing, just farms and two renovated old buildings within a mile that house my other two neighbours, we go for months without any contact, suits us all.

Looking at the satellite picture as closely as I can whilst also looking at pictures I have previously taken, this view seems to have been captured after Oct 4th 2012 but before 1st November 2013

Looking at the amounts of 'brown plots' and the apparent growth on what I know were untended plots around that time I would venture that the capture was during spring 2013. It looks as if it was during the short period when I only had one half plot.

The site used to be a football pitch once used by local village team and in earlier years the RAF, there is still some evidence of the old changing room (not visible in pic) in neighbouring house garden top right of picture

Richard I am indeed happy with my own company - but also need interaction with others, so wouldn't be my lifestyle choice but it is indeed beautiful & can see you've done loads to make it 'home'. It also must be great to have wee Bettie company all day, every day!
