The danger when people start to believe their own publicity is that they often fall off their own ego.
At least travelling under the guise of the Pa Snip Enterprise gives me an excuse for appearing to be on another planet

Thinking about winter colour, the free packet of Rainbow chard from KG have made lovely plants and aren't too strong a flavour - I'm not too keen on them if they have that earthy taste, but these are very nice , and the alternate rows of Redbor kale and a bright green curly kale look good. Another nice combination is Jaune de Poitou leeks with Bleu Solaise leeks (from Real Seeds) although they haven't done as well as usual with a lot of them going to seed quite early.
I do sympathise with you, PP. Our feeders were really busy today with goldfinches, chaffinches, bullfinches, bramblings, coal, blue, great and long-tailed tits, great spotted woodpecker, house sparrows, robin, blackbirds, but I bet next weekend everything will be quiet!
Weatherwise, we are still suffering from our anti-cyclonic gloom here: dry, mainly heavily overcast with just a very occasional glimpse of sun and nighttime temperatures hovering around freezing point. We could do with a bit more hard frost and sunny days. At least we are not snowed in. Grandson No 3 is getting married in a fortnight's time right out in the sticks, so no doubt the snow will turn up then......

Whoop!
The Burn was successful & no mishaps! All 3 piles of hedge row & todays prunings from the apple & pear trees are now very valuable wood ash. Had to use a bit of accelerant to get it started due to the frost, but once going piled it up & watched it disappear! Got quite a bit of wood ash - anyone know what veg will enjoy this besides onions?

Cheers TB!
They will enjoy the bounty as well then! Especially as I have made a new strawberry bed!
Thanks Peter for the edit!
Don't know how that happens - right way up on the computer when I download them from the phone! Must be the Aussie connection!
