Lady lettuce wrote:So how long do you spend in your garden shed? Is it just to grab tools and run or do you sit in it and make tea and read the paper and while away the hours? I can't even get in mine, there is too much piled up now it needs a muck out.

At home in garden
as little time as possible. Obviously a little more time in spring & summer. But only enough time to do whatever jobs are required to hasten working outside

At allotment,
enough time to put kettle on and then once boiled actually have a cuppa.
Room for two 'directors' chairs if wheelbarrow and rotavator removed. Rarely use chairs In shed, sooner sit outside by shed door.

When harvesting spend enough time in shed to count or weigh and enter in plot log book.
Probably add up to around 25 > 30 minutes per visit to plot
Unless it rains !!!

Forgot to mention that some time spent in allotment shed if its a breakfast cooking morning

We were hoping you would eventually shed some light on that subject
