I was on Facebook last night and one of those 'Your Memories' come up with photos from lottie last year, same date.

Last year I had fully grown lettuces, foliage on strawberries covered the whole bed and they were full of flowers, potatoes had to have been earthed up a few times & still a large amount of growth above, onions swelling! If it wasn't for the date on the fb feed & on my photos I would say taken later on in the year.

This year I have earthed up spuds twice, strawberry bed still showing lots of bare earth between the plants although do have some flowers, onions look fine but no sign of swelling & lettuces ready - you're taking the Mick! Again they are growing but not ready by far although I have taken some for baby leaves!

I think I quite liked last year at this time!

Dear Westi, we did have a lovely start to last year, but it did go down hill a little after that...so hopefully this year, will be round the other way. :)
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

We live in hope OH!

Because of the miserable end of the season I had this thing in my mind that the good weather lasted only a couple of weeks, but obviously not judging by the pics. I'm craving my own salad, although was impressed with the growth when I went down this evening, alas there is no salad yet!
