A bit of a rant asking 'what's the point'

On another forum I frequent, which is far more opinionated than here, there is very little moderation. I expect the need for moderation here is very slight indeed.
Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

I think we are all very lucky indeed to have such a dedicated Moderator, as the job goes far beyond wrapping the odd knuckle. Most of the work must be trying to read all the posts, moving unwanted items, passing on thoughts to those above and still being a wonderful member of the forum.
