I sat here this morning and wrote a long diatribe rant about something relating to my membership of this site,
Then having got 3/4 of the way through I asked myself 'what's the point' and deleted it.
Too late now.
A bit of a rant asking 'what's the point'

Request to techie team.
Could we have something which flashes up members birthdays when you log on, on the date on which they occur? with a nice big balloon or something?
I can't see birthdays noted either.

They only appear at the bottom of the page "Board Index".
Do not put off thanking people when they have helped you, as they may not be there to thank later.

The bottom of the 'Board Index' page is probably not a place people venture to very often if at al. the purpose of being part of the forum is to answer, contribute to, or learn something from 'New Posts' and that is probably where most people head straight to.

Note to Admin: Perhaps at the top of the Board Index would make them harder to miss

I think many people will access the forum via an emailed invitation to click on a link where somebody has responded to an existing thread, so the Board Index page doesn't get viewed at all, or only if one is navigating via it to post a new thread/topic under a different section.

Never mind, thinking twice before posting a rant is very sensible. But happy birthday (for whenever it was). Surely the rant was about something else?
Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
It is common on many forums to see posts from 'Moderator' or the like. Are there any here? The contributors make the forum and should be able to shape it methinks.
