Thankyou Old Herbaceous for your nice comments, yes I will be too busy to do any oven cleaning for a while!! I think my uniform raised a few eyebrows. I do only grow 1 variety of Runner Bean at the moment, however when I eventually complete all the construction work on my allotments, hopefuly next winter, I then hope to have more time to get better organised and grow a wider variety of crops. Hope you enjoy your potatoes, thanks Steve.

You say that you no longer watch GW,Steve, with a plot like that and your great writing style you could be Gardener's World!! I hadn't viewed your site before this morning but I shall be a regular now.

:D just checked Steves weekly report and there's a message on there from his dad to say that all the BT lines in the neighbourhood have been severed by a local contractor and so he can't get online - hence all us disappointed peeps waiting for the weekly update!!! Hopefully all will be up and running soon, but at least he's ok - I was getting worried!!!

Quick someone warn Steve, this is typical of the first stage of Grock attacking, isolate the victim so it cannot call for help.

Poor man, he will be chained up on Grocks allotment till he is worn out.

Good to see you back Steve, i thought them naughty girls had got you.
Glad you have had a successful fortnight, everthing is still looking pristine.
Have you had a lot of trouble with flea beetles this year? we are being plagued by them .
Had to dig two roots of potatoes to get enough for a meal, but it was well worth it.
Keep up the good work old bean.

Kind regards Old Herbaceous.

Good evening Steve, looks like your keeping your head above water. There never seems to be enough time in the day this time of the year.
All your stuff is really looking good, and has come on well this week.
Well impressed with your sweetpeas.
Planted out my second lot of runner beans and fifty tomato plants wednesday, so hope we don't get a frost, or like you i will be trying to cover everything up.
At least i won't have to cover all my early potatoes, as i'm tucking into them now.

Kind regards Old Herbaceous.

It's always interesting to get a good account of what someone else is doing, a bit like watching someone else work I suppose :D .

It really is worth spending the surprisingly small amount of time it takes to teach your fingers which keys to use, once you've done that even if you don't do a proper typing course, you'll be amazed at how quickly your typing improves. :)
