We gardeners are an innovative lot. I just hope the nappies haven't been used first
I haven't tried this one yet!

You've just reminded me of an old lady in the nearby flats who dried her incontinence pads on the radiator so she could reuse them. There were complaints

Well, if they were washed first, what wrong with a little recycling? I i imagine they're probably quite expensive to buy for anybody on a limited income.
I am guilty of washing and reusing those zipped freezer bags, and sometimes even ordinary ones which you close with white plastic wire covered tags. I just hate waste!, I suppose being bought up in a wartime generation makes it harder to throw off these habits

erm, I wash out those bags too, thought I was the only one!! I am thankful to hear that I am not
if they've only had, for example, raspberries in them in the freezer, then why not??

Indeed why not. I reuse anything I can... I just draw the line at using nappies (or human urine) on food crops lol

Ha! My neighbour takes the mick out of me with my plastic bags hanging on the clothes line! They are perfect for re-using down lottie for the muddy winter roots when the water is turned off. I put the roots in the bag & seal it for the journey home then punch holes in the bottom of the bag & run them under the outside tap in their throw away colander!
I would consider using clean nappies as have heard the water retention granules hold much more than plant specific ones, but found a whole basket of bags of reduced granules at In Excess last year for 20p ea so have a good supply before I make the leap. Which I probably wouldn't anyway considering the price of nappies!

That was the problem Primrose, she didn't wash them, just dried them on the radiator -nearly stank her neighbours out.
