We were chatting for a while and i commented on her seedlings.
I came away with 5 tom plants!these are about the only things I haven't grown myself this year.
I'll probably leave her a gift of home grown stuff.

I popped over to a neighbours today pay her for some tickets(the local school is having a fashion show)

Dear Jopsy, i think nearly all gardeners are generous people, maybe you could take her a pot of your bindweed round. 
Have you got your other gates made yet?
I think it's nice that Lily has her own pots, maybe she will be telling us lot how to do things in a few years.

The 2nd gate is finished; but not yet hung!
Lily loves to be outdoors-so hopefully she'll be teaching me a few things in years to come! (she may be the next Charlie Dimmock only prettier!-sorry to CD fans)
I really do agree with you that gardeners are generous people.
I just want to know when you class yourself as a gardener-at the moment I still feel like a learner!
PS-As for the pot of bindweed I think I'll go with my original plan of a potted Lily to sit by her numerous gnomes!

.We're always being given stuff on our allotment by other plot holders - sometimes plants - but mainly produce. In fact I think over the last year we've probably harvested more from other people's donations than from our own plot

My nice neighbour over the road has given me a greenhouse today!
It is a growbag type plastic cover one, but most welcome both for its designed use and for future big greenhouse staging.

I have a few surplus plants, gonna put them on the front of the plot on Saturday, ask for a donation to charity, I also do that with surplus produce at work, last year i got thirty quid for the local hospice, might get a bit more this year....
If I am not on the plot, I am not happy.........
I do the same Old Herb. I take plants and produce in each week to work at no cost, but I put a Charity Commission Registered Collection Tin in situ and everyone is very generous. I collect for my brother's Challenge Cancer Charity.
For the record....
My neighbour gave me her 8x6 greenhouse 'knowing it would go to a good home'! We exchanged seedlings last year!
Her non-gardening cheating husband left her and forced her and her 2 kids to move house. I felt really bad benefitting so handsomely from her misfortune but she said it would go in the skip otherwise. She wouldn't take money either.
I would much rather it had my plants in it, but in her garden still. If you're reading this you know who you are and thanks.
Wholehearted, selfless generosity is in very short supply these days. Lets keep it alive here.
