Goodness Richard, tiu're going to have yiurn work cut out coping with your new arrival but hopefully it will be easier when routines are established. It must be a scary big world for a young puppyn just ,leaving its mum and finding itself in a whole new set of surroundings.

That,s a vsry solid piece of cage carpentry. I' m not going to show it to my busband. . He might commission you to make another one up so he can contain me in it!

Beti is already forming routines, her toilet routine is predictable and she is happy going to her favoured spot outside though she is a baby and we do have accidents if Imdont keep an eye on her signs. Last night she squealed and whimpered for an hour when we put her to bed, she finally settled and I managed to sleep until almost six this morning.

Why do I need so much sleep ? I always though old people need less sleep. I'm getting enough but I suppose going to bed and getting up when I want to is quite different to my sleep pattern being orchestrated by a little puppy.

My usual routine after any kind of day and regardless of what work I do is to go to bed as early as six, maybe as late as eight, I do usually get up at six during summer but sleep until eight during winter. I think my sleep pattern has to be habitual from years of suffering poorly hips and back problems because I don't know anyone that gets/needs as much sleep time as me.
How are you supposed to start and maintain a healthy lifestyle if it completely removes a wine lover’s reason to live?
Richard.
