I dug up my garlic today, as it had begun to lie down. It is ok this year, not great, but ok about 30% small sized, the rest are reasonable, but not the large size I have grown in years past.

Picked six pounds of redcurrants and first eight ripe outdoor tumbling yellow tomatoes.

Returned home after three days away and found lots of courgettes and baby cucumbers had developing from nowhere during my absence. It starting to be that time of year when the neighbours all start running in opposite direction when they see you bearing courgettes. .I try to pixk them when they're only finger size but if you leave them overnight you return and find you've got darned great marrows! i don't know anything else that grows so quickly.

It's finally raining! (At home & on the allotment).

I made Steve drive past just to ensure the allotment hadn't missed out on all the continuous drizzle we've had today! It's bone dry and all the watering in the world doesn't make the plants perk up like rain! And by my phone app have more of the same to come on Wed & Fri. Might be actually able to dig over some beds without jarring up my arms & managing about 3 inches in depth!

I am :D

Eight pounds of redcurrant & strawberry jam made today (removing four bags of strawberries from freezer, which still hasn't made anywhere near enough space yet for all the climbing beans I'm shortly hoping to freeze!)

Is this title still correct - what a difference from the last posts!

"Largely clear and chilly overnight, with some local mistiness forming in the countryside towards dawn. Minimum Temperature 4°C."
