Love mice ! :D in a word MW....no :D

I won't be trying to overwinter peas again.

For years now I have sown them in spring in guttering in the greenhouse at home before transplanting them out, I shall continue with the tried and trusted.

Whey Hayyyyyyyyyyyy...Result !!!

Remember my excess rainwater issue since my neighbouring plot holders greenhouse had been re-roofed ?

One of the other plot holders had apparently put the translucent panel roof on my neighbours greenhouse for him. I was talking to him generally on Monday and took the opportunity to point out the problem I was experiencing as a result of his good deed for my neighbour. I told him I had difficulty communicating with my neighbour but that I felt the roof panels should be cut back with far less overhang. He agreed and said he would sort it..

Went up plot this morning and that guy had been up the plot yesterday afternoon............................... job done, ...................matter resolved.

My doesn't time fly. I have not kept this plot history up to date since March.

Whilst I have been trying to keep the plot in order the issue of cancer treatment raised its head in April and consequently the subsequent treatment has slowed me down at times.

I also had a bad feeling about possible late frosts this year so held back from planting things up such as peas and beans. Also as posted elsewhere I had issues over seed germination.

Still, I am pleased to say I am up to speed on the plot now and almost everything is growing. Exceptions being Parsnip (ironic huh given my nick name on here lol) 3 sowings of which have not germinated at all and carrots which have had patchy germination.

My own treatment is ongoing.

lol Retro :D
Believe me they are there.
Advantage of nets when using a camera, weeds don't stand out quite so much but they do exist honest.

Afternoon Pa Snip, through my life i have never looked up to people for being famous for being pop stars, football players, or even film stars. What i have always admired are people that just get on and do things, especially when things get tough. So saying that, you are on top of that list for me at the moment, you really are an inspiration to all.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

OH Thank you so much for expressing your thoughts,

I haven't set out to be admired for the way I am handling this but it really is nice to know that I am on your list in any position, let alone the top
I just refuse to give in and let what so many suffer with, in one form or another, get on top of me.

I sincerely do hope that others find comfort in humour, either mine or their own.

Laughing and smiling play a huge part in my life, Pa Snip, they have helped me through a few tough patches in my life, so it's a big thumbs up on the humour front..... :) :)

We all work hard on our plots, whether they be full size allotments or bigger, or even a postage stamp veg patch in the back garden.

Despite the hard work I'm sure that many in the same position as me, or those in a worse position, find gardening to be therapeutic and in a perverse way despite the hard work, relaxing.

Being able to communicate with others who have the same interest as I is another aid to not having to dwell on the dark subject.

Looking Good Pa Snip! Your location looks quite rural, liking the mini forest in the background. Does that attract more than the pesky pigeon?

Thanks westi,

reasonably rural.
we are next to a private airfield with varying degrees of activity from day to day.

Despite the light aircraft we have large number of crows, magpies, jackdaws and red kites (often 20 to 30 and more flying directly overhead) as well as the Walters :)

Biggest nuisances are the pigeons and the magpies.
