Cold dark wet and miserable all day - I blame "50 Shades of Grey".
Resorted to the new bathroom - how do you wear a dust mask without your glasses steaming up? Bought the sort with a valve in but can't see what I am doing half the time.
In the bleak Mid Winter, Bits and Bobs...

Having worn a FitBit Flex since Christmas it is surprising how few paces one can walk during an office day.

Fair enough! Desk jobs can do that to a body, since I gave up professional horticulture (knee clap out) and took up a desk job I have managed to put on a coupe of stone and I'm starting to look like my grandmother did...

However, me and Ken stopped smoking three months ago and my armful has now become a bit ower full, tha knows....
Mind, I haven't put on as much as Ken...he swapped a nicotine addiction for a custard cream addiction....

Made a good start on my overshed for the metal shed now in the garden, think overcoat
Annoyed I made a mistake with the joinery on the front left corner, I'll have to make some sort of buttress to support the roof corner after finishing the left edge a few inches short.
More timber needed, so next weekends job.

Peter, sounds just the sort of post that would be good with an accompanying picture or two.
You have me intrigued

Positively balmy on lottie today! Trouble was it lulled me into staying longer & doing more than I had in mind so massive catch up on home duties this evening.
Just watched Country File weather & windy next weekend so my two piles of hedgerow trimmings will not get burnt as planned. Each pile is about 6' high & as wide so it will be an impressive burn with lots of lovely ash to use. The hubby is in charge of big burns & the incinerator is mine - might have to watch the fence posts then! Last year he managed to catch some branches in the hedgerow so moved the pile further down the plot. Buckets at the ready then!

Peter and OH : you can come unstuck even if you draw and plan. Bizarre note in the installation instructions for the toilet in the bathroom I am doing (when I should really be gardening):
Lids are for sanitary and cosmetic purposes only. They are not designed to be sat on.
