Thank you so much to Barbara Pilcher for her 'Last Word' In the August TKG. What more could one add, such wonderful encouraging advice. Care Homes too should take note, even a small patch to tend would encourage the elderly to get out there and potter instead of sitting all day in front of the TV. The occasional article from the TKG on this subject would I am sure be very welcome.

Dear Beryl, as we have just had a heavy shower of rain, i read the "Last word" article, and i can now see why you were singing it's praises.
A very thoughtful article indeed, and it would indeed make a huge difference to peoples lives, if they were just to try it.
While we are on about things that are nicely written, it reminds me of all your posts.
