Hose Pipe

I have several lengths of hose pipe to various parts of the garden all coming of one feeder. The one to the dog garden being the most frequently used, its also a bit like me and not very supple and easily kinks.

I did have at one time some of Wilkos blue stuff, I quite liked it but if I left the tap turned on in very hot weather it would expand/bulge and escape the fittings.

What are the recommendations other than turn the tap off in hot weather

Traditional jubilee clip based fittings?

Thanks Peter, that was an option I considered, I really need to source a more user friendly hose first though.

Seem to recall when I worked briefly on a building site. They used a black [rubber !! ] hose that was very flexible. Try a builders Merchant.

If they are permanent installations would it not be easier to pipe it up in blue alkathene? Quite easy to do with the modern fittings. I got my last lot from here http://www.cityirrigation.co.uk/acatalo ... -pipe.html - good service and a vast range of fittings.

I've always rated Tricoflex hose. Professionals use it, is as kink-free as it's possible to get, does not bulge. Worth paying a bit more for it as it is so durable and will last for years.

I use the yellow one, it has done me very well for a good few years. I am though, struggling to find decent fittings that don't leak or loosen and come off!

I think I'll be getting Tricoflex and coupled with possibly the brass alloy fittings, thanks for the replies.
