Happy new year people!!
I have a Eureka Lemon happily growing in my greenhouse. I have recently noticed about 6 young lemons starting to grow ( they are about 7mm diameter at the moment). This is the first time in 2 years. Can anyone recommend a good feed for it and also when is the best time to feed it. I have two books with conflicting info, one said do nothing till summer, the other said to feed whilst the lemons are growing.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
Phil

I would advise holding off on feeding for the time being until your lemon can grow vigorously. It can't do so at this time of the year, when light, which is what they really need, is in short supply. By the middle of February, things will really pick up and the fruits will properly start to swell, which is when you can start feeding. As far as recommending a feed, there are specific citrus feeds on the market. I have used these, and I have used all-purpose feeds such as Miracle Gro in their place, and I have not noticed any difference. Whatever I grow, be it vegetables, flowers, fruit, I feed with Tomorite and I'm always happy with the outcome.
Allotment, but little achieved.
