My OH started growing a moustache about 50 years ago, then sideburns and then a beard which he has had ever since! Occasionally he gets mistaken for Professor Bellamy.

It gets a good snipping every 6 weeks or so, but if he ever shaved it off, I am sure I would not recognise him!

I grew a beard when I was about 17 ( long, long time ago ) and had one ever since.
I did shave it off once, but let it grow again straight away as I didn't like it :D
Keep it trimmed fairly short these days, but it used to be a bit bushy in my younger years :D

I've only shaved 3 times in my life and I'm now 64. Can't believe that I might be in fashion now.
I would consider shaving it off if that were the case but I'm too lazy.

I could grow a bush out of of my ears these days though I do keep them neatly trimmed, then there's those three long hairs that always grow 100 times faster than the others on my eyebrows and on top of one ear.

Why ?

It's a good point.

Whenever I've seen an artists impression of neanderthals they never included a male with male baldness. This time of year I have to wear a cap (Country gentleman) or a beanie (Surfer-dude) most of the time, i'm not embarrassed or trying to hide the slap-head. I just need to keep warm.

I, too, have a beard. It's trimmed about once a week, occasionally less frequently.
25 or 30 years ago everything was very dark but it's all grey now.
Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

Yes, i'm envious of the full and well shaped beards or beard-lets that also have strong colour. Also some older men can still grow a good beard in silver and white which looks equally as good. I'm afraid mine has always been an 'also-ran' leaning towards moth-eaten.

I couldn't grow a full-set, I cannot stand hair on my neck as it starts to grow. I'm always scratching it like a mangy dog.

Maybe I should use, 'Spot-Ons' Eh. (Smile)
