We have a sloping driveway and at the bottom of the driveway in the wall we have the most beautiful purple acer. Because it is grown in the border and the wall is raised it looks like a waterfall over the wall down to the path. The problem is we have a chap that walks past our house every day and his Rotweiller dog stops to wee on our tree. It is now killing the tree as there is a dead patch where the dog keeps peeing. We keep looking out for the chap but he doesnt seem to have a regular time to walk past. The tree is 25 years old and magnificent. People stop to look at it when the autumn colours start as it is so beautifu.
I have to do something soon as I dont like seeing the damage it is doing. I did put bleach on the drive underneath the tree but it rained very soon after and it was washed away.
Any suggestions please.
Dog wee problem on my beautiful acer.

Get some cheap ground pepper, put it where the dog sniffs before weeing.
