What fruit is immune to raspberry root rot

Can't identify that mould? Got a great tip for keeping slugs at bay? Suggestions for organic weed control? Post them here...

Our summer fruiting raspberries died as a result of what we think was raspberry root rot Phytophthora. We can't plant new raspberries in this area now so need to think of an alternative. Does anyone know if a blackberry would survive there (I'm guessing it is too closely related to raspberries), or have any other suggestions?

The only thing I have found with a mention of resistance is Raspberry ‘Glen Ericht' but it sounds like you need to taste before buying.

I'm really thinking of something other than raspberries as I have another part of the plot earmarked for new raspberries.

I realised you really wanted a blackberry but this is the only member of the family where I have found serious mention of resistant.
