I thank you all for your birthday wishes.
It was a magnificent day here. I was collected and wined and dined in real style by the family. Another wonderful day here yesterday but in places I still have snow on the ground and tested ground temperature and at 9 inches down it was minus 1C which of no use to man nor beast.
I was always informed that all those years ago I was born in a blizzard and my father didn't meet me for three days because the roads were impassible so it seems that the weather like we have been having is nothing new. Mother was already in hospital before I was born but had she not I would have been born at home for sure.
