Greenhouse Shading

My new (but 2nd hand) greenhouse is getting hot as the weather warms up, it has remnants of the liquid shading stuff on the glass, which also looks a bit tatty, what do people prefer, any good mail order sites for the fabric stuff and what do people recommend.

Cheers

Last year I used an old duvet cover, that was destined for rags. I cut the seams open and tied a guide rope to each corner, popped the cotton cover over the green house and pegged down the ropes. Cost £0.

At the end of the year it was looking a bit mildewy, so I put it in the washing machine and have it ready for this year.
I don't suffer from insanity .... I enjoy it!

Hi Compo,
I don't think you need shading this time of year. Just ventilating is a better bet. The auto vent openers are very good, but quit expensive. Or it's two or three visits to the greenhouse a day. If I do shade the greenhouse I use green netting it looks a bit like onion sacking. But I only use it from about mid July till the end of September.
