assuming its the same as most 2 stroke strimmers. check there is fuel mix in the tank. there is an ignition kill switch on the handle marked stop ensure that is in the run position. there should be a lock on the throtle trigger in the same area so lock the throttle open (max speed) then on the engine there should be a choke, set that to start if there is a little rubber priming bulb press that about 4 times, then pull the start cord several times until the engine coughs, or splutters, then set the choke to run and pull the cord again it should start and run. if that dont work book it in for a service and get the engineer to demonstrate starting when you collect it.

I think my strimmer is a McCullough. You press the bulb about 6 times, put the choke on full, hold in the throttle (if there is one) and pull the line once or twice. This should get it to cough. Then put the choke on half and pull again. It should start 2nd or 3rd pull. Hold the throttle and let it run 10 - 20 seconds, turn the choke off, let it run another 20 seconds or so, release the throttle and you're ready to go.

Well, I didn't want to commit myself!
