Survey in January's Magazine

Why is the closing date for the survey in the January magazine 28th December 2012?

I would have liked to add a few comments re the layout of the items.

a) The white on green print is difficult to read, in fact most print with either green as a background or green print is less defined unless it is a dark green. Similarly, black print on dark backgrounds is also a strain on the eyes, and the print size seems to have got smaller, I suppose to get more in on fewer pages.

b) The front cover looks extremely cluttered.

c) I like the content particularly the veg trials both RHS and Joe Maiden's. I also enjoy the visits to other people's gardens, and the recipes. In fact there isn't anything I can say I really don't like about all the articles. The item on dealing with specific pests is also very useful and interesting.

I responded much the same - but also commented on the shiney paper - difficult to read in the light..maybe that's intentional - no slacking off at lottie in the summer!
