Britain's Christmas tree plantations hit by mysterious killer fungus

For twenty years now we've made a "tree" from hazel branches. The decorations and lights show up much better, it's free and there's no sweeping up needles.

Morning Alan, would there be any chance of posting a picture of your tree when made, as it sounds a very good idea, and i just love homemade things.

Hi Alan,
As usual the reporters have it wrong. The Nordman Fir is not the typical Christmas tree because the typical and mostly used tree is the Norway Spruce.
What concerns me is that the Nordman Firs are suffering from yet another imported diseasewhich again means another DEFRA failure.

I liked that. It's a lovely idea for anybody not having space for a tree and very artistic.
