Dear Monika, may i just say a very big thank you for starting this thread. Sometimes it just takes just one person to get all of us posting again, and you seem to have managed it again.
And this thread has made me smile.

I can only speak for myself, but suspect others are in the same position.
I no longer need to ask so many questions but am not yet experienced enough to offer advice to those that do.
Plus West Ham have been doing quite well and my attentions have mainly been on KUMB (a West Ham website).

We look at the forums quite often but in the daytime I’m struggling to fit a DIY lean-to greenhouse against a laurel hedge
but that’s no excuse for not writing in during these long nights.
Just now intend to write on the topic - Do mice eat shallots etc.

Yes, I follow him on Twitter, funniest parody in years.
I did wonder if it was OH?
Perhaps I'll cross-post some of the less smutty ones for him to deny.
"Being tied to a large wooden cross in just a leather thong felt strange at first. But it certainly kept the crows away from my cabbages."
"I like my women like I like my sheds - warm, accommodating and slightly warped."
Do not put off thanking people when they have helped you, as they may not be there to thank later.

Had a giggle at the replies. I've been feeling sorry for myself for the past few weeks with shingles in my eye, face and head and couldn't even see for a few days, and then couldn't stand my glasses touching my nose and face so couldn't read a thing.
Feeling better this week and been out cutting the hedge and mowing the lawns - hopefully the last cut this year.
Good to know everyone is attempting to struggle along with their gardens despite the weather ruining so many things.
I suppose the forum has been quiet as it's the end of the season and harvesting and storage and tidying up time.
