'morning all,
I'm pruning my mature Eucalyptus tree, (which is now 25ft high!) and wondering what to do about the bark, which is peeling all over the tree. Usually I'd leave it to peel, but I notice there are lots of wood lice hiding under it, so would it be better to manually strip it all off?
Thanks for any advice.

Looks like you've drawn a blank there. I don't know what is right but before our 30' Eucalyptus blew over in a gale I used to just pick bits up that fell off.

Hi Ken,
The peeling bark is supposed to be an appealing feature (no pun intended)
and although it may hold such things as woodlice I feel that Geoff's approach is correct.
JB.
