Had a relaxing afternoon in the sunshine at nearby Harrington Hall Gardens. :) ..with the bonus of spotting a Spitfire PR19 routing back to RAF Coningsby. :)

...and as we were leaving Catalina G-PBYA, looking really gorgeous in the late afternoon sunshine, cruised slowly by routing back to Duxford from Sunderland Airshow I expect. :)

Picked the first two courgettes from the one surviving plant from my first planting. The second sowing are looking a bit more promising. Despite the apparent lack of pollinators, my pathetic slow climbing runners are covered with tiny beans.

After being absent from the school plot for 2 days due to a ridiculous summer flu like bug (not flu but not pleasant), I went back and found two large courgettes/small marrows (depending on your point of view) :D

Also got a handful of peas, a few small runnerbeans and took the hearts from 5 lettuces that have blown. Not a huge amount of produce but a nice contribution to for some of the village pensioners :)

Himself has taken the kidlings out for an hour to give me a much needed break and now I'm going to have a coffee and see which other medals we've won :D
