I seem to have an Ants nest in my compost heap , is this a problem?

Only for the ants when you use the compost. :wink:

It may be because your compost is too dry. If you should try turning it over and giving it a really thorough watering.

I must have a rare form of aquatic ant on my plot then! Digging up some horseradish yesterday from a really waterlogged area and there were millions of the little darlings. Still hurting.
