I would post some pictures of mine, but i wouldn't want to make some people think they have to try and achieve such a high standard.
Yours look nice though, Peter.

OH
Come on post a pic of your allotment - I don't know about the others but I do wonder what other member's plots look like and get ideas in my mind from their posts. I'll put mine on but not until after the weekend as I have a few days off so can weed the onions as you truley wouldn't know they were there at the moment!

I have tried to do it but just don't get the hang of it.
But just a verbal contribution: our 'wild patch' in the garden looks very similar to Geoff's flowers - full of aquilegias, red campion, red valerian, meadow buttercups and lots of other smaller flowers. We leave it every year, no weeding, no feeding, no watering, leaving it to die down over winter and then close-mowing it in early spring. Flowers still to come are Joe Pye-weed, michaelmas daisies, tansy, verbascum .... It sure looks lovely at the moment already.

Not much response from allotmenteers, so here's another non-allotment. My wee Welsh undercover plot.

Evening Ash, it's not a bad thing to start off smale scale, I've seen all to often people taking on too much, then getting fed up with all the work involved.
So enjoy this year and move on to bigger things when you feel comfortable with it.
