Today I have received my full tenancy agreement for the allotment :D
At least now I can plan ahead for the long term, compost bin etc.
I think a shed will be going on my birthday list as well

We've been a lovely walk this morning through the bluebell woods full of lovely spring flowers and their lovely scent. It was going to be a gardening afternoon, but it is now pouring with rain, so will have to go into the greenhouse instead. At least I managed to dig up most of the dandelions yesterday - three compost sacks full - before they went to seed. I'll tie them up and let them rot down for a few months before I use them.

One of those mornings when I feel like going back to bed and waking up next year to a glorious spring and summer, and not this weather! Pouring rain all night, river roaring along, everything sodden and the prospect of a lousy summer. How's that for pessimism?

Not bad when you haven't even got this now or this forecast:

Tonight:
Outbreaks of rain in places, perhaps becoming more persistent later in the night and possibly falling as snow over the northern Pennines and Cumbrian fells by dawn. Breezy and chilly. Minimum Temperature 2 °C.

Not a drop of rain here in Chester, all day, until I went out to erect new walk-in plastic greenhouse. To be fair, only a drop and it's been weirdly warm today, yeah, I know it's not going to last.

Evening Clive, we have had about the same amount of rain, and i must say, it has made for hard work on the gardening front.
But the next few days are loojking a little more promising.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.
