That looks rather slippery there, Geoff.....
Taken advantage of the frozen ground, and spread 25kg of lime on the allotment, that's another job out of the way.
I think we might be in for an early Spring this year.

I've got the Atco battery mower on charge all ready though...![]()
So I can use it, if necessary, to help start old Vauxhaull tomorrow...and get it up the garage for Test....number plate looks a fail without delving any deeper.....
Clive.
At work young Sam was out mowing today in the lying Snow.
..and an update on old Vauxhaul...MOT test passed.
Keeping on topic
Clive.

Evening Clive, was it a bit nippy up your neck of the woods today, i think we are catching some of the coldest weather around at the moment.

Didn't feel that cold at first today..it was...but it was still dry cold. Once it started to go down towards the snow of this evening it went really raw.
I re potted a few Fuchsias this morning they had been stored dry so last years compost fell away and they should move forward into the new they are now in.
We were teak oiling a few more garden benches this afternoon in a non too warm garage.
.....and tomorrows gardening day I'm told involves some furniture needing moving up and down stairs...I'm not so keen about all the lifting but best to go do it when it is all snowy so that we can get back to the Rose beds when this early Spring arrives....

Glad you think there's going to be an early Spring too, Clive.

I don't think I have ever experienced black ice as we have had today - a walk into the village took twice as long as usual and was only accomplished by hanging onto anything solid at hand. I risked the traffic and walked back virtually in the middle of the road where it had been gritted. Our dry stone walls, lime stone chipping paths and all flags are still slippery tonight in spite of having been rained on all afternoon. And now it's starting to freeze again.
