HI

My bark chippings came from Lidl and i cannot see anything which indicates any treatment BUT they do have a strange aroma - sort of sweet and pungent?

Fig trees

Help About 2 weeks ago in a fit of tidiness for an upcoming BBQ i covered all of the bare soil on both my 3 year old fig tree containers with bark chippings. I have now noticed that all of the leaves are yellowing and there is a brown tinge to some of them. Did the same to some other fruit trees wit...

runner beans in australia

Hi Silly question but can any of our 'down-under' colleagues confirm whether runner beans etc climb their poles the other way round (anti-clockwise) in the southern hemisphere. I know it is different between north and south for water in sinks etc and am just wondering whether plants do the same thing?

At the moment it only has two leaves and one starting in the centre, it is these two which are affected. The leaves all did exactly what you described last year but I do not remember any blackening which is why I am worried. How did you keep yours through last winter?

bannana leaves turning black

I have a 5 foot high bannana plant in a pot which I have managed to not kill this winter (the other two seemed to rot from the top down. It is kept in an unheated greenhouse and I have just noticed that the leaves are 'blackening' on the outer edges. I have kept it well watered during the recent hot...

From memory it was very very simple but if you need me to carry on looking will do BUT have a number of commitments which will delay my search, sorry. Let me know and if I find it I will have to post you ...
